Between July 30 and August 1, the key members of the TechInput production team attended TFR in Niznhy Novgorod.
TFR is an annual event gathering from 300 to 500 professionals and international organizations such as the European Commission, the United Nations Information Center, FIT Europe, the Belgian Chamber of Translators and Interpreters, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). The conference was launched in 2009. It is intended for the entire translation industry: customers; LSP owners, managers, and team members; freelancers, university teachers, software and hardware vendors, government agencies, and publishing houses.
The event covered the pressing issues for the industry and the world of translation in general: the COVID pandemics effects on the translation business and technologies; machine translation and other advanced technologies; translation/interpretation quality standards; efficient customer relations; creating a language-oriented AI infrastructure in Russia.
On the sidelines, the TechInput team negotiated with the TFR partners, organizers, and sponsors, and joined the panel discussions and networking.
Such industry events is a perfect opportunity to share best practices, discuss the generic problems, and also set new trends for the future of the translation industry.
